Héctor Gustavo, un niño de tan solo 12 años arriesgó su vida para salvar a su hermana pequeña de 3 años que estaba a punto de ser mordida por una serpiente venenosa, esto ocurrió en el rancho San José de las Flores en el municipio de Villa Corzo, en Chiapas. Su familia habló con FIA para contar su historia.
“Ahí lo mordió la primera vez la culebra y se fue a defender pero volvió a morderlo, lo mordió tres veces”, explicó Lorenzo Lunes Sántiz, padre de los dos hermanitos.

El incidente ocurrió en una zona rural donde la familia reside, cuando los niños jugaban en el jardín, una serpiente de cascabel, conocida como “Nauyaca”, por su veneno letal, se acercó a la pequeña. Al darse cuenta del peligro, Héctor Gustavo no dudó en actuar y se interpuso entre la serpiente y su hermana, recibiendo la mordedura en su pierna.
Después de eso, la serpiente lo atacó tres veces y tardó 34 días en tratamiento médico; se le administraron 51 dosis de antídoto. Fue atendido en el hospital Gilberto Gómez Maza por un grupo de especialistas, quienes pudieron salvarle la vida.
“Estuvo a punto de morir, pero Diosito fue quien tenía la última palabra, que se volvió a levantar”, explicó el padre de los dos pequeños.

A pesar del milagro de que el niño Héctor Gustavo sobrevivió al terrible ataque de serpiente, perdió la pierna izquierda en donde recibió las mordidas. “Estoy contento, ya me voy a mi casa, pido apoyo para una prótesis”, señaló a Fuerza Informativa Azteca (FIA).
Ahora viene la nueva vida desde cero, después de un episodio de angustia. En redes sociales, las personas celebran al pequeño y lo nombraron héroe por salvar a su pequeña hermana, pues su historia es un recordatorio de que, a veces, los actos más valientes provienen de los corazones más jóvenes.
