14 de Octubre del 2024.- Nadia Zenteno es una joven originaria de Ciudad Juárez que forma parte de un equipo de 11 talentosos mexicanos, quienes en conjunto desarrollaron un material que será enviado a la Estación Espacial Internacional, esto gracias a la ayuda de la NASA y Space X. Maru Campos, gobernadora de Chihuahua, manifestó que apoyará a la juarense de 28 años.
Nasa y Space X llevarán al espacio material creado por jóvenes mexicanos.
El equipo de MaTXSpace, donde trabajan Nadia Zenteno y el también chihuahuense Jonathan Cruz, desarrolló “una aleación de materiales que se adapta a las condiciones del espacio exterior y que puede ser usada para construir, infraestructura satelital, equipo de exploración aeroespacial y operaciones en suelo lunar”.
Este proyecto ganó el primer lugar en el International Air and Space Program en Houston. Gracias a este galardón, el material será puesto a prueba durante 6 meses en el espacio. El lanzamiento se realizará el próximo 30 de octubre, desde el Kennedy Space Center de la NASA, en Florida.
Joven de Chihuahua dará conferencia en Milán sobre su proyecto.
Además de colaborar con la NASA y Space X, a Nadia Zenteno la invitaron al foro International Astronautical Congress 2024 para hablar sobre su proyecto. Este evento se realizará del 14 al 18 de octubre, en la ciudad de Milán, Italia.
“Esto es una gran oportunidad, no solamente a futuro, no solo para mí, pienso en las próximas generaciones que van tras de mí y las próximas mujeres chihuahuenses, que yo sé que van a estar muy orgullosas de lo que se va a lograr a partir de ahora y a partir de su ayuda”, comentó Nadia en una conversación con la gobernadora de Chihuahua”.
