Mediante Facebook, la internauta Martha Cortés compartió un video el pasado 11 de agosto en el que solicitó a la comunidad web su ayuda, ya que junto con unos amigos encontraron a un perrito en situación de calle que acababa de ser macheteado. En el video, se ve al can retorciéndose de dolor mientras Martha pide ayuda tanto para saber a dónde llevar al animal como para recibir apoyo económico.
A partir de ese momento, la mujer documentó el caso de “Gringo”. De acuerdo con sus publicaciones, debido a que el domingo no se encontraba abierto ningún centro clínico canino, tuvieron que llevar al perrito a un hospital privado del estado.
En este lugar lograron atender de emergencia al animal; sin embargo, les informaron que debido a las heridas que sufrió por el machetazo, tendrían que cortarle la oreja. Los estudios, curaciones y servicios fueron pagados con los donativos que recibió Martha, los cuales sumaron 5 mil 800 pesos.
Sin embargo, en uno de los estudios realizados, se dieron cuenta de que el perro de Veracruz tenía parásitos gusanos, lo que empeoraba su estado de salud y amenazaba nuevamente su oreja, pues esto solo agravaba la herida causada con el machete.
Debido a las complicaciones, el costo había ascendido a 15 mil pesos, de los cuales Martha solo podía cubrir 9 mil. Razón por la que nuevamente solicitó a sus conocidos de Facebook que aportaran con lo que pudieran.

La tarde de ayer, 14 de agosto, Martha publicó un video en el que informó que “Gringo” ya se encontraba estable. Destacó que, debido a los cuidados adecuados, los veterinarios lograron salvarle su oreja; ahora deberá pasar 10 días en el Centro Clínico Hosvet, ubicado en Av. Lafragua 720, Centro, 91700 Veracruz, para su recuperación.
La mujer invitó a todos los ciudadanos de Veracruz a ir a ver al perrito mientras se recupera de la herida del machete. Asimismo, pidió a la comunidad que le brinden un hogar, pues no desea que regrese a la calle.
¿Qué han dicho las autoridades sobre el caso de “Gringo”?
Hasta el momento, ninguna autoridad municipal o estatal se ha pronunciado sobre el hecho. Sin embargo, los usuarios han expresado su molestia y han pedido justicia en redes sociales. Por lo que se espera que pronto se presente una denuncia y se inicien las investigaciones.
