Disney sorprendió a los fanáticos de «Lilo y Stitch», luego de que hace unos meses anunciara su live-action, ahora generó gran revuelo tras revelar algunos detalles de la película durante el evento D23.
La película que se estrenó en 2002, se se convirtió en un fenómeno gracias a su historia, los personajes y su soundtrack, compuesto en su mayoría por canciones de Elvis Presley, esto a pesar de ser personajes tan diferentes, Lilo, una niña hawaiana, y Stitch, un alienígena genéticamente modificado, demostraron que las familias no siempre se forman de la manera convencional.
Entre los anuncios que hizo de sus próximas producciones, uno de los más destacados fue la primera imagen de Stitch en su versión live-action, que se presentó a través de un video donde el personaje irrumpe en un póster que anuncia el estreno de la película para el verano de 2025.
A pesar de la emoción que rodea la noticia, aún no se ha especificado una fecha exacta para el estreno.
Es relevante mencionar que el remake live-action de «Lilo y Stitch» pretende seguir la misma premisa que la versión original. La trama principal gira en torno a Lilo, una niña que recientemente ha sufrido la muerte de sus padres y que vive con su hermana mayor, Nani.
Lilo adopta a Stitch creyendo que es un perro, sin embargo, es un alienígena que ha llegado a la Tierra con el objetivo de causar caos, sin embargo, a lo largo de la película, la amistad entre Lilo y Stitch florece, lo que permite que el extraterrestre descubra un nuevo propósito en la Tierra y el verdadero significado de la amistad y la familia.
